My trip to greece
My journey to greece was a beautiful experience. Apart from the planes (delays
and lost luggages) it all went good.
The first two days we had two hours lessons, and then we went to a park where
we did games using the five senses, for example we had to make sounds with the
natural things we found, or we had to close our eyes and listen to the sound
that our partner was making, so to find them. I had a great time playing those
games and I would love to play them again. Then we met the administration at
the town hall of the city of Thessaloniki (the city is very big and it is divided in
two parts: Polichni and Efkarpia).
The third day we went to the mount Olympus, the weather was really foggy but
it was fantastic because there were a lot of species of plants. We also tasted a
special fruit: it was delicious, sweet, red and soft.
The fourth day we went to a termal center and to a museum where there were
foundings of king Philip II and his son, Alexander the Great’s tombs.
The fifth day we went to visit the “White tower” which was a prison in the past
but now it is a museum which shows Thessaloniki’s history. Then we visited four
ancient roman monuments in the city. We also went to St.George’s church, they
were fixing it, but it was still wonderful, full of golden mosaics...
In Greece they have a different culture, for example they eat very spicy things.
Everyday at school lessons last half an hour and students have a break of ten
minutes after every hour. In the toilet they have the blue color for hot water
and the red color for cold water.
The most beautiful things in Thessaloniki were the parks in the middle of the
city sorrounded by buildings and pollution.
I enjoyed my trip to Greece very much because I had the chance of meeting
new people and visit new places.
