The 6 may 2010 the Montemurro school classes joining the Comenius Project Inside Landscape, Landscape Inside, met the local authorities for the official welcoming of the european delegations at the Cinema Sidion. The Local Administration has been supporting the project for two years as associated partner, with the Lipu and the Folk group La Zite.
The Counselor for Education and Culture Lorenzo Tremamunno, with some other representants of the Counsil, gave presents to each delegation and received some by them also as a mark of friendship and thankfulness.
Lorenzo Tremamunno enhanced the importance of the Comenius LLP programme and encouraged students and teachers to continue! He said young people may feel the European contest as familiar as useful for their future thanks to this cultural exchange promoted by the School with the support of the European Commission.
The headmaster of the Montemurro school gave also his welcome to the delegations wishing everybody to have a nice staying here in Gravina. He also thank families for the support given in organizing the meeting as a meaningfull time for the school life and teachers for their works.
After this first part of the meeting, all students, guided by the music teachers (Gelly De Leonardis and Elisabetta Martemucci) performed the Ode of Joy, surrounding the European friends by their voices;with us some "old" students of the Montemurro, Giorgia and Enrica Leone with Michele Cicala who performed as baritono solo. After the Ode, the main chorus sang a selection of Italian musics (classic, pop, Neapolitan) to let our guests feel, through sounds, the italian musical soul as an "inside landscape" ......
